Finding the right headphone and earbuds for asmr can be daunting. I have also been through the same and after going through many of them, here's my ultimate recommendation for the best headphone for ASMR.
#1 - Best Mid-Range Headphone: Philips Shp9600
The best price-to-quality headphone I tested is the Philips Shp9600. Since it has an open-back design, it allows the audio to sound more realistic which gives you a more real-life sound to the audio when listening to ASMRs.

#2 - Best Premium Headphone: Sennheiser HD 800 S
If you are looking for the best of the best, then look no further than the Senheiser HD 800 S. While the price is over a grand, it is undoubtedly the best headphone I tested. Because of how true to the original sound, it is also dubbed as 'the best reference headphone' Sound Realism: 99%

#3 - Best Traveling Headphone: Sony XM5
Having a good traveling headphone is very important. You don't want anyone snooping in into what you are listening to. Unlike the previous two headphone I recommended which has an open back design, the Sony XM5 is a closed back which meant people won't be able to listen in to what you are listening to.Sound Realism: 60%

#4 - Best Budget Headphone: Samson SR850
Samson SR850 is undoubtedly the best headphone I tested for a budget user. The sound quality is absolutely amazing for the price. However, the comfort and build quality is much to be desired.
Sound Realism: 85%
Price: 95%
#5 - Best Sleeping Headphone: Generic Sleeping Headband
Getting a headband headphone is the best for when you are in bed. I tested many earbuds in the past and they all broke in a year but not this. The only downside I found the battery. My sleeping headphone battery lost a lot of its' health after a year of daily charge cycle. Fortunately, these are very cheap and won't break your wallet.
